Knuckles is a male echidna with red fur, long red dreadlock-like quills, a white crescent moon symbol on his chest, peach skin, a black nose, purple eyes, and wearing white gloves with two spikes on the knuckles, and red and yellow shoes with green ankle rims.
At night, his pajamas are a green long-sleeved pajama jacket with buttons and green long pajama pants, and sometimes wears green slippers.
His swimsuit is a pair of green swimming trunks with a yellow line on each thigh.
